IMPORTANT - OpenAthens Users please read!

From 1 April 2015, provision of the databases Medline and PsycINFO will change supplier from Ovid to ProQuest.

This change will affect the way in which these databases are searched via the Healthcare Databases (HDAS). There will be a reduction in the search fields and limits available in the Advanced Search for Medline and PsycINFO for a limited period from 1 April 2015.

Click here for further information on the fields and limits available.

During the transition period NICE will work to implement the fields and functionality available in the ProQuest native interface into HDAS for these databases. A full listing of the final fields and functionality will be made available at a later date.

In the meantime, Medline and PsycINFO can be searched directly via the ProQuest native interface.

Click here for instructions on how to search via the ProQuest interface.

Access to Embase, Amed, HMIC, BNI, Cinahl FT, and HBE will be unaffected.

Please note that existing saved searches and alerts for Medline and PsycINFO in HDAS and via the Ovid SP platform will not be transferred to the new ProQuest provision on 1 April 2015.

Please ensure that you have downloaded required searches and article alerts in Medline and PsycINFO from the HDAS or Ovid SP platform by 30 March 2015.

Click here for instructions on how to save your HDAS searches and alerts. These saved search and alert strings will need to be manually replicated when the full ProQuest feed is live and implemented into HDAS after July 2015.
